Simple Love

"I love you not only for what you are, but for what I am when I am with you."
                                                                                            - Roy Croft

I've never been this open and vocal about my lovelife before, especially to people who I don't even kow who reads this. However, I just want to make this exception, simply because I am in love.

Back in college, I was the kind of girl who would likely to fall for guys who make grand gestures, surprises and gifts. I was what they call the typical-hopeless-romantic-girl. But for some reasons, they guys who court me...even if they do all those romatic gestures, I would just end up breaking their hearts. I also don't know what was wrong me, it's just that... something was missing.

Then there came a guy named Coco...

Coco started courting me in all the wrong ways you could ever think of. However, no matter how bad things went on our dates, I saw something in him that's different from all the guys I have met. Sincerety, kindness, humility and patience are just some of his traits that many guys do not possess in wooing a girl.

When we argue on our differences, he respects my opinion and tries to adjust and compromise.
When I have a problem, he's there to show me the brighter side of things.
When I am PMSing and my mood swings  are activated, he's patient and understands what I am going through

After four years of being together, he taught me that love is not all about the material things. Yes, it may be good at the start...but it will never last if your love is just based on roses and chocolates. He inspires me to be the kind of person that he is.

For sure we will have more challenges ahead of us, but I know we will get thru them and these will just make our relationship stronger. I have to be honest, I can't wait for the day that I will walk down the aisle and see him waiting for me at the altar. I can't wait to wake up everyday and see his pogi face beside me. And of course, I can't wait to have kids because for sure he will be a great dad. <3

...but all of these, I know will happen in God's time. :)

So this is my story...my love story. It may not have begun like what any fairytale should be like, but I know my story is the start of my happily ever after.

Happy weekend guys! Spread the love. :)

ABSolutely Possible

Travel entry. check.
Food entry. check.
Fashion...entry. Hmmm.

Okay, I just wanna say I have a hard time thinking of how to make a blog entry on fashion. Well, first things first, I don't dress up well so who am I to talk expertly on this matter. Palakasan lang ng loob? :)

However, no matter how confident I am blogging about clothes, I have a problem because lately , I cannot wear some of my clothes. They are too tight! :( Though this is a good thing, because I needed to gain some weight. BUT! yes there is a but in everything...BUT BUT BUT my waistline is getting wideeerrrrrr...

and... I-DONT-LIKE-IT.

Sooooooo....solution! I downloaded this "year-2000-hit-workout video": HIPHOP ABS!!!

Are you familiar with this? This is a series of video workout from Shaun T. Oh diba name palang cool na? :) I tried it one time with my dormates a few years back just for fun, but for some reason we ended up watching them and just adoring their abs. This time though it is different.

My flabby belly will turn from this...

into a Victoria's Secret model tummy! (face not included. if you want a face like that go to BELO instead)

**************************************************************************

This entry may not be directly targeted to fashion, but this will help you guys in achieving the body you have always wished for, konting tiis lang and soon the clothes you wanted to wear will fit perfectly fab on you. You can show your abs ala Miranda Kerr :)

As for me....you'll never know if my next fashion entry, I'll post my picture in a bikini flaunting my ABSSS!!!

Choz. Haha!

Where My Feet Have Taken Me...So Far

When I was a kid, I have always dreamt of travelling around the world. Though there are sooo many countries on my list that I have yet to visit, I considered 2010 and 2011 the years where I was lucky enough to go to places I never imagined I would go. Most of the places I went were just local flights outside Luzon, but hey...you know what they say? It's more fun here in the Philippines! :)

1. Puerto Prinsesa, Palawan - most memorable because it's the first time I get to travel domestic flight and without my parents. I miss my 6+1 friends. :)

2. Bohol - This is the most relaxed vacation that I have been to so far, and as my friend Ali would say, I get to see my relatives...the tarsiers. Haha!

3. Camiguin - Sand bar...sand bar...sand bar...

4. Cagayan De Oro - okay...this is the scariest thing i did as of today and I am proud to say I survived the great raipds of CDO. The picture below can prove itself....I will never ever do it again...thank-you-very-much!

5. Coron, Palawan - I met this little girl (beside me in the picture) during our hike going to Mt. Tapyas. She was one of the many friendly people I met in Coron...they are all so tourist friendly, even to local tourists like me. :)

6. Sydney, Australia - As I previously mentioned in my past entry, I went here for a business trip. Aaahhhh I sometimes miss this place, but most of all, I miss this place because all my expenses for my 3-month stay were paid for by my company. Lucky me!

Next destination: HONGKONG!!! :)

Easy Steps In Making My Version Of Wicked Oreos

Have you ever tasted Wicked Oreos? If not, well then I think you're missing out A LOT!

Wicked Oreos are available at Flaming Wings, which is one of their best sellers aside from their famous yet affordable buffalo wings. Though I am not here to discuss a review on Flaming Wings, I want to share with you guys how to make your own Wicked Oreos! They cost around Php 75.00 per serving, but if you are kuripot just like me and would not want to spend that much money, I suggest you follow the easy steps below.

So here goes! It's so easy, even to amateur cooks like me. :)

Ingredients:
1 pack of Pancake Mix
1 pack of Oreos
3 scoops of vanilla ice cream
oil
water

For the pancake mix, make sure to buy the one with "just add water".

You will be needing a bowl for mixing the pancake mix.

Put 2/3 glass of water in pancake mix. Mix well until all lumps have been dissolved.

Put in Oreos in the mix. Be sure that they are completely covered with pancake mix.

Once the Oreos are covered with pancake mix, time to deep fry them in cooking oil
Be sure to turn them to the other side after 20 seconds or until they are golden brown.

Best served with ice cream and chocolate syrup...and voila! Wicked Oreos are ready to be served!

Enjoy eating!!! :)

Things To Do This Weekend

I love weekends....who doesn't, right? :)

I never thought how life would be like if we don't have weekends. Naku! I don't want to think about it...baka magkatotoo. Hahaha! Anyway, I've never been a party girl. I don't drink nor smoke. Hence, I-am-a-good-girl! I usually just stay indoors (aka. bahay) for the sake that i do not have to spend money, but sometimes it just gets to boring so I go out to eat or watch a movie.

Weekend To Do's:

1. Watch Mirror Mirror - I'm looking forward to watching this movie version of Snow White rather than the one starring Kirsten Stewart (because for me, her acting is as pale as her skin. hehe. just my opinon). The cast includes Julia Roberts as evil queen and breakout star Lilly Collins as Snow. I heard she's dating Zac Efron. :)

2. Watch this week's episode of Once Upon A Time - I have already introduced this new hit series on my previous entry. You really have to watch it! And this week's episode is every interesting. It recalls Red Riding Hood's back story while in Storybrooke, more mystery is uncovered with Katherine Nolan's disappearance.

3. Go to a spa and have a massage -   I know...I know, I said I don't want to spend money on weekends. However, this is how i sometimes reward myself after a week full of stress from work and overtime. ahhhhhhhhh....my little guilty pleasures. :)

4. Eat ice cream - because it's already summer and it is sooo hot, a little scoop of ice cream would help us cool down. :) Some alternatives would be Zagu and those chewy sago to go with it. Or kung talagang kuripot ka, kain ka ng yelo. Hehehe! I do that all the time. try nyo, masarap naman...lasang tubig. Haha!

How about you...what are your plans for the weekend? :)

What You See Is What You Get

I have always been insecure about the way I look. That's why no matter how I like the clothes that I wear, it never hit my mind to create a lookbook or chictopia account. I'm not saying I am ugly but nor I find myself pretty. You know those typical-mestiza-girl-who-looks-so-darn-pretty-kahit-nakapambahay-outfit-lang...nope, that will never be me.

However, since I am currently in a writer's block stage, okay, okay...trying-hard-writer's-block stage. I  might as well post a trying-hard-lookbook-pose. Hahaha! So here you go...this is me.

Disneyland in 2013!!!

Alhough I already went to Disneyland in Anaheim when I was 12 years old, I honestly didnt enjoy the experience because I was too scared of the rides. Most of the time, I would just close my eyes and wait for the rides to finish. In short, I missed all the fun. So when I started working and earning my own money, I promised myself I will return back to Disneyland and redeem myself. Hahaha!

Today, I came across a 90% discount...yep, you read it right! A whooping 90% off on a roundtrip airfare ticket from Manila to Hongkong via Cebu Pacific. Though I scheduled my flight on January 2013, it's perfect for me because I still have the time to plan and save money for accommodations and pocket money. Are you curious how much I spent on my roundtrip airfare ? It's only Php 2,541.18 (inclusive of taxes and fees). Happy happy joy joy! :)

Anyway...I'll keep you updated on my trip planning and itenerary. All I know is I will book my 2-night stay in Hongkong Disneyland Hotel to experience the total magical moment.

Can't wait for 2013. :)

Seasons Buffet at Manila Pavilion Hotel

During my stay in Australia, I was till keeping myseilf updated with the groupon sites in Manila.( If you are not familiar with groupon sites, do not worry as I will post a separate entry for it.) Anyway, I came across a discount on a lunch/dinner buffet in Seasons at Manila Pavilion Hotel. And being a food fan that I am I immediately purchased 5 discount coupns. It was also timing because my birthday was coming up. :)

I made reservations a week prior to my birthday weekend for 5 persons. Booking was easy and I booked lunch time instead of dinner because I dont want to sleep at night with my tummy so full. Haha!

We got there 11:00AM, which is 30 minutes prior to the opening of the restaurant. It's always good to be early, so we coud avoid long lines and crowd. When we got there, we were 3rd in line. The staff asked me for a valid ID to validate my vouchers. We were then ushered inside and were seated near the buffet tables.

There are eight buffet stations (Japanese, Chinese, Indian, Filipino, Western, Hot Pot Station and International Cold Appetizer & Dessert Selection) featuring appetizer, noodle, grill, and dessert creations by Seasons’ master chefs. They also served unlimited fruit juices, which came in as a plus.

The dessert table offers different types of cakes, fruits and parfaits. Crepes are prepared in front of you and you could choose your own fillings, and ice cram flavor as toppings.

Our overall experience was satisfying, plus points to the staff as they are all attentive to your needs. I recommend Seasons buffet to all my readers (if there are any haha!). But I would probably recommend further to check out groupon sites to avail for discounts rather than spending the buffet in full price. :)
